AI voiceover no longer sounds robotic. In a few minutes you can get a voice for YouTube Shorts, Reels, a website promo video or an audio version of an article. We regularly use two services — ElevenLabs and Google AI Studio — and collected the voices we like and the tricks that help get a natural sound.

FenrirMale voice
KoreFemale voice

The key in AI Studio is the prompt: describe how to read the text, not just what to read. For example:

Read this in a pleasant male voice (calm, warm, with a slight smile in the voice).

ElevenLabs voices: female

Stress marks: fixing pronunciation

AI sometimes puts the stress on the wrong syllable. The easiest fix is to put a stress mark right above the vowel — services usually respect it. Copy the vowel you need:

Cyrillic: а́ е́ и́ о́ у́ ы́ э́ ю́ я́
Latin: Á á É é Ó ó

Tips for natural voiceover

  • Write numbers and abbreviations as words.
  • Use short sentences — punctuation gives natural pauses.
  • Voice long texts in parts so you can regenerate a single fragment.
  • Compare 2–3 voices on the same paragraph before voicing the whole text.
  • Match the voice to the platform: energetic for Shorts and Reels, calm for article audio, warm for storytelling.
