TUT — Social Music Messenger Concept

Product & UI/UX Design

A mobile product concept merging music streaming and instant messaging for Gen Z, focused on shared real-time audio experiences.

TUT — Social Music Messenger Concept

«TUT» is a conceptual social application created in response to traditional messengers being overcrowded with corporate communications, work chats, and news feeds. Targeted at Gen Z users (aged 14–25), the product positions music as the primary vehicle for identity and social connection.

Our design studio set out to build a digital “third place” blending secure private communication with synchronized audio streaming. The core user experience revolves around real-time co-listening, expressive audio snippets, and low-friction interactions within tight-knit friend groups, free from workspace clutter.

Work Process & Product Architecture

We reimagined traditional chat dynamics by making real-time audio streaming the ambient backbone of every conversation:

The Virtual AUX Cable: Engineered UI flows for synchronized group audio rooms with intuitive queue management, peer DJ privileges, and dynamic visual reactions overlaid on album art.

Adaptive Canvas & Visual Language: Created a neo-brutalist design system featuring ambient color generation derived from active track covers, keeping persistent audio controls accessible across all navigation layers.

Audio-First Micro-Interactions: Introduced waveform timecode annotations, automatic audio ducking for video and voice notes, and live vibe-status radars that let users instantly tune into their friends’ frequencies.
